This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

No post today
Hi folks
We're at the top of Adderley on a really poor T-mobile signal, so no blog post today. Normal service tomorrow, hopefully!
Hi Bruce, I've been struggling with writing my blog this week on Tranquility, usig a T-Mobile dial up via Bluetooth and a mobile phone so Lin and I have bitten the bullet and purchased a 3G dongle thingy from 3 Store at around £97 for a 12Gb download and 12 months whichever comes sooner. Its very nearly as fast as broadband at home - Brilliant. When the 12Gb or 12 months is up, simply top up £10 for 1Gb/30 days. Try it, you'll like it. I'm already using a Huawei modem, with an 18 month T-mobile contract. Most of the time it gives an adequate performance.
I'm pleased you're getting good results from the 3 service, as not everyone is as taken with it. All these services depend on where you are in the country – Elanor (daughter) has a 3 dongle, and finds it very slow in Burton where she lives.
Hopefully by the time I come to renew the T-mobile deal, their service provision will have filled in on more of their black spots - if not, I'll probably change provider.
I enjoy all sorts of comments, but please don't use the Anonymous option without at least signing your name at the end of the comment. It's nice to be able to reply to folks by name, and offensive anon comments will be deleted.
