It was back into cruising mode today, with Sheila making a brisk start before breakfast. I'd got myself sorted out before we got to Bollington, and she had soon fed herself and taken the helm back. The weather was very unspecial, grey and cold, but neither windy nor wet, so we weren't complaining.
By eleven we'd reached the outskirts of Macclesfield, and were being pursued by Pondasher, Braidbar number 72, the former Beech No 3. I hopped off at the bridge before the centre and nipped up to the Co-op to get a paper. When I rejoined at the Puss in Boots bridge, I took the helm for the remainder of the run to Lyme Green.
It was just coming on to rain as we finished, and it's been spits and spots all afternoon. We'd not long finished lunch when Ian and Sharon turned up on Bunnies Warren, taking it back to Crick as their Easter holiday. They stopped long enough to have a cup of tea and a natter with us, which was really nice. They were planning to get down Bosley today, so couldn't stop too long.
We're going to stay here tomorrow, doing a bit more stocking up at the handy Co-op and pottering about before going down Bosley ourselves on Sunday.
