Found the boat absolutely full of humans; as well as Granny and Grandpa, there were Great Aunt Jane from America, and two guys called, seemingly, Doug and James. They reeked of spaniel, but no sign of the actual pooch, which was a shame as I really like spaniels, they are so easy to impress…
Anyway, very satisfactory sesh all round, as all three agreed that I was very beautiful and spent a lot of time stroking and admiring me.
After D & J had taken themselves off, we went to the running about field, where we had some serious toy tyre chasing and bunny hunting. Did one of my best distant down-stays for Mum whilst she dumped a bag of poo in the bin outside the gate, so more admiration.
Finished off with a walk right round the marina, but didn't see any of my mates; they all seem to have gone away for the summer.
Back at the boat was able to have a bit of a lie down and chill out, but then had to put up with the humans faffing around with some crossword or other for hours. Finally got through to Mum that she'd promised me a bone from the Barton Marina butcher, so we went off at about half four.
Apparently we're going to see them again tomorrow, so it's shaping up to be a good weekend all round.
Oh, one more thing, have discovered what the cat is for; he makes a really good furry pillow:

ReplyDeleteI'm having to reply on behalf of our hounds - they say "Hi" but Lou and Poppy are too poorly to play and Ollie is just tooooo lazy!
Ty says you're gorgeous - he's far too scared to come to you but if you ever come to his pad in Surrey he will gladly sniff your bottom :-)
Love
