Last easy day for a bit

This is the last day without locking for quite a while as we head back to Mercia along the familiar route.

We shopped first thing this morning, another visit to Morrisons to complete the restocking, then turned to after coffee and cleaned the inside of the boat. We're tied very handily for the Big Lock, so didn't need to leave until twenty past twelve. It was another good lunch with Peter and Jan, washed down with Wainwright's golden ale.

Back to the boat for coffee and more chat until they had to go. We've been taking it quietly since. Tomorrow, the plan is to work up past the Booth Lane locks and tie in the country somewhere round Ettily Heath.
