Another recovery day

We had a lovely evening last night on board Thomas Tallis, having been invited over there for a glass of bubbly to admire her; Chris and Anne are truly delightful, and since Anne also read psychology at Aberdeen (though a long time after we were there, she's a mere spring chick), we took the opportunity for some garbled and alcohol fuelled reminiscences. We finally staggered back to Sanity Again after nine, ate a scratch meal and fell into bed.

This morning had been going to be a lie-in anyway, so it was gone eight before we slowly and gently rose to face the day. No matter, it's like Brendan Behan said, it must be terrible to be teetotal, imagine waking up each morning and knowing that's the best you're going to feel all day…

After breakfast, I ambled down to the Co-op to get bread, paper and some chicken fillets for the freezer, and came back in time to meet Chris and Noushka (is that right? Sally will want to know) coming away from the Trading Post. This let me thank him for such a splendid time, and we had a bit more natter.

Over lunch we refilled the water tank whilst Sheila ran a washload, and we've been pottering this afternoon. Martin returned from Cumbria, so we were able to give him his boat keys back.

A quiet evening this evening, methinks, and probably leave the yard tomorrow, maybe going as far as Deer Farm Bend for the night, carrying on to Bugsworth Basin on Tuesday.

Are there enough of us Aberdeen graduates to have a sub-section of the Braidbar Owners' Group?

I was struggling to remember when I was there, and then realised that my degree is on the wall right by my desk. I graduated in 1993, so must have started there in 1989.
