It's been very pleasant today, the sun shining most of the time, jobs gradually getting done, fellow Braidbar owners turning up.
Another washload has been run, bits of written work completed, the tiller (the only bit of brass not lacquered) polished. We've also baked the flapjack which is to be our contribution to the cake supply on Saturday - it improves if kept for a couple of days in that it gets firmer and less crumbly. The main challenge is to defend it from visitors in the meantime (this means you, Mr Mason…)
Jayne and Stephen on Dolce Far Niente arrived in the late morning, and Peter and Gill on Cala turned up just after lunch. Dolce has tied outside New Dawn and Cala outside us for the time being.
We've been sitting around, working on these various jobs and nattering at the same time. After I've done this post, I'm going to get a shower, then later on we're treating ourselves to a first meal in the Boar's Head.
