Another busy day

We were up and about betimes this morning, as we rightly predicted that Ian would want to get on with the work he was doing on our boat as soon as possible. It’s been another very busy day leading to distinct weariness, but all the stuff has been done to our satisfaction.

We’re staying in the yard for a couple more days, though, so we’ll have a chance to get the boat cleaned up and do some chores, as well as carrying on with the gardening. Things done included:

1) The other nav light has been installed
2) The defunct expansion vessel in the hot water system has been replaced
3) A couple of problem cupboard doors have been sorted, and different handles fitted to the can cupboard.
4) The leaking prism in the saloon has been resealed.
5) We’ve sorted out the archive storage under the bed and put the bed back together.
6) We did a fair bit of boat shuffling so that another boat could come in for some repair work; we’re now moored down the middle of the yard.
7) My new, low power consumption computer monitor has arrived and been successfully installed.
8) We did a bit more hedge trimming in between times, and managed to find time to drink a coffee/hot chocolate at Bailey’s Trading Post.

So you can see it’s been all go, and not surprisingly things like taking photos and routine internet stuff got a shade neglected. Never mind, we’ve got a couple of days to catch up, including that trip down into Poynton...
