This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Not so quiet as expected
It’s been yet another busy but satisfying day at the yard. I don’t know why I thought it would be quiet…
/blur
What we’ve done:
1) Walked down into Poynton, got my prescription made up, did a fair bit of shopping and Sheila got a hair cut.
2) Caught the bus back.
3) Had lunch.
4) Sheila washed the roof whilst I used some newly acquired Ronseal Woodcoat to repaint the shafts and gang plank.
5) I (hopefully) sorted a backup problem with the Braidbar computers; they have a mixed Mac and Windows environment with a NAS* server in addition, so it’s always a challenge working on their stuff. The problem is you still can’t get a decent accounts or payroll package to run under MacOS.
6) Had an ice cream for tea and did some more painting and IT.
7) In between all this, engaged in some highly constructive nattering.
8) Oh, and my nice new Mac keyboard has arrived – light, smart polished aluminium with white keys and all the right keys in the right places for a Mac.
So, still no photos, I’m afraid – maybe tomorrow…
/wahaha
In addition, we’ll pull out of the yard tomorrow, though we still haven’t decided where we’re going.
