Hi Boots, how ya doin’ boy?
I’ve read some of your posts on your Mummy’s blog, and I really like your style. Can I be your friend?
If I can bum a lift on Granny and Grandpa’s boat next time they’re down your way, we could maybe meet up and find out who’s the best at chasing rabbits. I’m pretty good, but my mummy gets in a real strop about it and won’t let me catch them.
Like you, I take Mummy to obedience classes every week, but the well cool scene is at dog agility. I can do the jumps easy peasy, and the tunnels, though I have to really bend down to get through them. I’m just getting the hang of the A-frame, and I’ve only just started on the see-saw. The dog walk (up in the air on a plank) is good; you can stop half way over and have a good look round, though every one gets really mingy about it if you do.
The other night, after I’d done a circuit of two jumps and both tunnels off the lead for the first time, I nipped over to where Mummy had left my lead by the start, picked it up, and ran into the rigid tunnel with it. It got a good laugh when I came out the other end without it, I can tell you. Even the collies were impressed, I could tell, ‘specially when the trainer had to take the tunnel to bits to get it back.
Must go now, breakfast’s ready, and if I don’t watch out, Cato the cat will nip down from where he lives on top of the kitchen cupboards and nick mine.
Take care
Love

Sally,
What beautiful ears you have. I have beautiful ears too, but mine are smaller. I can twizzle my ears into all sorts of different shapes. Ears are quite good fun.
I am impressed with your tunnels, planks and A frames, but don't tell Mutley and Baxter off Matilda Rose... they don't approve of Dogs doing things like that. I never reached that stage because Maggie and I liked to sleep or put our heads down holes the whole time. Our field had lots of holes to put our heads in.
When are you going to visit? I might be a bit nervous when we first meet, but I think we might have GREAT fun. I can show you all the fab places to run around and hide! You can meet Molly, she is very funny and not bad for a little dog.
Lots of Love

Oh dear, I can see the men in white coats approaching. Is there a clinical psychologist in the house - preferably one who looks like Pamela Stephenson.
Well, Bruce will give the definitive answer on this, but I believe that sanity is, to some extent, defined by the social context.....
So, it's not madness, it's just fitting in with the rest of the blogging dogs - ours included :-D
Lou, Lynx and Ty will be in touch with Sally soon.....

Hello
I finally have to comment - I really enjoy the Sanity blog and follow it with envy. It was the dog blog that did it - and whilst I enjoy all your blogs, this made me laugh out loud (or, LOL as one is supposed to say these days) - Whilst reading it I though about Ty, Lou and Lynx from Indigo Dream. I just love the humour of writing from a dogs point of view! Unfortunately I came to narrowboating quite late in life, so may never have my own boat, but just love the lifestyle and of course it opened up an entire new world for me. I am happy hiring, having the occassional charity cruise on Indigo Dream and of course reading a few blogs and dreaming that maybe one day I will find a way to take to the cut permanently! In the meantime I am confined to London and taking my dogs for walks along the canals!
With best wishes
Anne
Boots: Don't know when we'll get down there to see you, keep your paws crossed for this summer. I quite like little dogs, as long as they know their place.
John: Grandpa says he was involved in therapy for 30 years, and this is the result. Also, have you seen Up?
< Squirrel!>
(Sorry, got distracted there for a moment.)
Sue: Look forward to hearing from your pack soon. I'm a Doberman cross something, and I think the rest is probably greyhound; I just love running very very fast for a bit, and then lying down with my humans for the rest of the day. Also, my ears fold down like greyhound ears when I don't want them sticking up.
Anne: Grandpa's really happy to hear from you, it made his day, he says. He reckons that the secret of happiness is to be like a good dog, and spend your life giving other people pleasure.
Lots of licks
Sally
