More activity on the other blog

It's started raining here, but we're not hopeful of a thaw. I've been using the time to do the long promised review of Sanity Again, which can be read here.

Apart from that, there's not a lot to report. It looks like we'll have to use our own pump and some drums provided by the marina to take a bit out of the toilet tank on Monday, unless the forecast is wrong and we're able to start moving the boat around soon.

That's a huge improvement over the old shoot bolts for the door window covers. So much more professional looking. The old system smacked of a solution developed in a bit of a hurry, as indeed it may have been just before delivery. There will always be small tweaks that improve a boat in the light of experience and there will always be small warranty items. It is, after all, a hand crafted product. If car manufacturers with the benefit of mass production and standardised designs cannot avoid warranty issues then how are boat builders to do so? It is how those warranty issues are dealt with that separates the good from the bad.
