A recovery day

We had, as expected, a merry evening last night, with Stephen and Jayne round to help us celebrate the launch of Building Sanity Again (that's the right link this time!) So we had a very quiet start this morning, not hung over, exactly, just still a bit part worn from the late night. At the last count, we'd sold all of eight copies, not bad for something that's basically being promoted via this blog and not much else. Many thanks to all those who have bought it so far; I do hope that you all enjoy and or find it useful.

I await the comments and corrections to be incorporated in the second edition…

We ambled round the marina in the late morning, just to get some exercise, though one or two people pointed out that we seemed to have forgotten the dog. Her bed turned up, by the way, after a long slow trip from Pet Planet. It's just what she wanted, so it was worth all the hassle. We've had a bit of fun working out how to store it when not required, but managed to cram it into a stuff sack and put it under the dinette. At least it stimulated us to sort out the stuff in storage boxes under there to ensure the most efficient use of the space.

As you can see, the bed's very popular:

At last, a decent sized bed!
This afternoon has been a pottering session, enlivened by the arrival of new neighbours Fred, Pat and Roxie on Elaine. This means that the Grebe pontoon is now full, and I suspect that there are no more 70 foot berths left, though about half of those here are winter moorers and will be off in the Spring.

Mind you, the weather we've been having recently, that seems to have arrived. It couldn't be more different from the last two winters, but much more in the pattern of the five before that.

Thanks Sue - the bed is actually plenty big enough, she's just in conflict because Elanor is sitting just out of shot, and she was trying to get strokes from her and lie on the bed at the same time.

When first she saw it, she waited for permission to stand on it and then promptly curled up with a happy sigh.

Our only hassle was that it took Pet Planet two goes to actually get it to us, but that's what comes of ordering from a company in Lothian just before Hogmanay, probably ;)

Cheers
