A leisurely start this morning, followed by a determined attempt to get on with the book, reasonably successfully. I've finished my proof reading, and spent a bit of time both before lunch and later in the day wrestling with some formatting issues. Most of these are now resolved, barring a very final chapter break that just refuses to submit. No matter, I'm sure we'll get there in the end.
Just after lunch, Elanor and Sally turned up, both looking much fitter. Elanor had some post for us, and Sally was absolutely delighted to see us, not having actually been on the boat for a while. Both her paw wounds are now healed, and she had spent 2½ hours playing with some mates on Cannock Chase yesterday.
For this reason, she wasn't quite as fast as usual round the field here when we went to give her a run, but certainly enjoyed herself putting the fear of death into the local bunny population.
We've ordered a new bed for her to use whilst on the boat, but, tediously, Pet Planet have let us down. The thing was supposed to have been despatched from Livingstone on the 29th December, but according to the tracking hasn't made it as far as City Link's hub yet. Pet Planet say they'll despatch another one, but of course it will now arrive next week, when Elanor is back at work.
After all this, I'm going to get Sheila to give me a haircut; I'm feeling distinctly shaggy.
