Wet and windy

Just as forecast, in fact. It is at least quite mild, but not at all enticing, so we've spent the day lurking in the boat. Not that we've been completely idle; Sheila's been running washloads, so that we are up to date when we leave, and I've been doing bits and bobs like measuring the space behind the side berth side cushion.

This is an area which is very hard to keep ventilated, so a bit prone to moistening up in cold weather. We plan to attach carpet tiles to it, and to a couple of similar spaces under the dinette, thereby reducing the problem. It looks like one pack of 50 x 50 tiles will do the job; all we need now is a B&Q or similar.

And that's about it for today, not a lot of excitement, but don't worry, from the weekend on we'll be back to proper cruising reports again.

"Proper cruising reports again" - aah, spring must nearly be here! Enjoyed your winter journal very much but I do like it best when you're out and about - have a good trip.

All the best

P.S. Congrats on the books - I'm a hopeless finisher so respect to you both for pushing on to the end

Thanks once again, Greygal, for both your good wishes and the PS. The downside of cruising again will be much reduced contact with the Sally hound, of course.

Finishing is certainly the challenge here too – with the books, it was the fiddling around to get them properly formatted, having to reread them several times. Now I understand why a lot of authors say they never read their own stuff once it's published.

All the best
