A long day's boating...

… not. We set off at half nine, and all of 30 minutes grim concentration at the tiller brought us to the Deeps at Poynton. It's very busy here, and we initially dropped into a space well away from the yard. We walked in to see the folk there, and noted that there was a 70 foot space right next to bridge 15.

After a coffee and chat with Peter and Susan, we nipped back and moved Sanity Again into the nearer slot. Peter had been planning to move Eleventh Heaven there, Chris and Les's boat that's just been finished and is waiting for them to take away in the Easter holidays. Instead, we offered to take her to a temporary mooring over on Victoria Pit, having first walked down there to make sure that it was free.

When we got back from this little walk, Peter asked me to show a couple of enquirers round Priscilla, Graham and Beryl's boat that's up for sale as they are having a new Braidbar built in September. I did this very willingly; they seemed very interested, but of course will need to think carefully about it.

By now it was lunchtime, so we scoffed some petit pains that Sheila had baked whilst I was busy. Having thus refuelled, we moved Eleventh Heaven and walked back to the yard. Things are really buzzing there at the moment, with four boats all in build at once, as well as finishing touches to be made to the new hire boat, Tiree, and some bits and pieces to be done to the old hire boat, Islay, which has been sold to Susan Gough and partner.

We then retreated to Sanity Again for a break; Peter came to see us later to talk about the bits and pieces he's going to do here whilst we are away collecting Bunnies Warren.

Tonight we are meeting Chris and Les in the Boar's Head, and tomorrow we are doing the same with Ian Stockton, the really nice guy who bought Sanity from us and still likes us.
