Lurking in the marina

There was a fair bit of wind in the forecast for today and we've remained lurking here in Mercia. It looks like it will be calmer if damper tomorrow, so we're planning to make a break for it then.

We ambled down to the village during the morning, buying meat, bread and a paper in the Co-op. We just got back before it started raining again.

This afternoon, we set off for a walk round the marina, in the cause of getting some more fresh air, but observing the sky suggested that it was more likely to be fresh water we got. So we settled for dumping the recycling and going onto the visitor mooring pontoon to feed the birds. Whilst there, we spotted a pair of oyster catchers; I though I'd heard their piping call a few times in the past week. We also spotted either a martin or a swallow, but it zoomed over too fast to make a positive identification.

So that's about it for today; more exciting stuff tomorrow, hopefully!

/bye
