This being my fifth crown (I think – I've lost count. Spent some time just now peering in the mirror and tapping various teeth, sad person that I am), I shouldn't have been very worried about this morning, but surprised myself by being quite anxious.
Possibly it was because this was the first intervention by a new dentist (Alrewas practice keeps changing hands). I needn't have been bothered, the guy was absolutely fine, no pain at all and got through in less than 45 minutes, which for a crown prep is good going, IME*.
Nonetheless, I've had a quiet day since, and it's going to be pasta in cheese sauce tonight.
Sheila had a good session as well, so we're both very pleased with Dr Parmar; if you want a DenPlan type dentist in this neck of the woods, it's worth taking a look here.
We had a call from Susan at Braidbar to discuss arrangements for Crick; things are coming together nicely, largely as a result of her hard work.
We'll stay put tomorrow, just in case we need any further attention (not that that seems likely), then head off on Thursday – Fradley or Huddlesford, then Sutton Road Bridge, then Alvecote or the foot of Atherstone, depending on the weather and how we feel.
It'll be good to be doing some serious boating again.
*IME = in my experience
