Anyway, we're not really intoxicated with any kind of substance, just with the pleasure of the boating life. What we are is in Stone, above the top lock where we usually stop, though for once there wasn't a lot of room here and we had to settle for a mooring rather under the willow trees.
Mind you, someone has given them a haircut; they've all been cut off neatly at a height that lets the boats get underneath without too much risk to the stuff on the roof.
We've made a shopping trip into town, just for basic supplies; there's a good choice of shops here, including a decent greengrocer's.
Tomorrow we'll stop at Stone Boat Building below Newcastle Road lock to get some solid fuel, then again at the bottom, below Star Lock, to fill the water tank and dump recycling.
Today is Sally's official birthday, Elanor tells me; she's very grateful for the support from Sue and Roger after my cheeky photo yesterday, though she admits that weight control can be a problem for her. (This is still Sally we're talking about.)
