Less satisfactory

We've had a load of wet snow today, and the power pole's been playing silly B's once more, a problem as Sheila was running washloads. This means that we have the Mastervolt set to "Charge only" and if the mains fails, my Mac Mini falls over. As a result, and since we need the clean clothes, I've done very little on the computer.

In addition, the T-mobile signal has disappeared all together, and the Orange signal is incredibly weak and slow. Presumably wet snow has coated the masts or something.

I'm connected to the internet by tethering to the 3 smart phone, placing it in the cratch to get some sort of signal. It's not much faster than the Orange, but is at least just about useable.

We did make it to the village once the snow had stopped, in order to send Elanor's damaged DVD back via Collect+, so it's not been a totally wasted day, just frustrating in several ways. Sheila hasn't even got all the laundry finished, as one of the tumble driers in the Facilities Block is out of action, and there's a lot of demand for the other.

I did also manage to get round to mounting the second CO alarm in the engine room.

So I'll leave it at the that for today; hopefully, normal service will be restored tomorrow
