This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Winding down
After the dramas of the past week, we’ve had a quieter day today; it’s not been totally lazy, but we did lie in for a bit and we’ve spent most of the day pottering and catching up with jobs in Sanity Again.
In particular, Sheila got the washing up to date so that by this afternoon we were able to do the summer/winter clothes rotation. This has got much easier as the years went by and we ruthlessly eliminated stuff that wasn’t being worn.
We’ve also taken a walk round the marina this afternoon; we forbore from calling at Walnut to allow the guests time to settle in. We have had a nice text from them to say that they are safely in and inviting us for a cup of tea in due course.
What else? I’ve put the old Samsung Galaxy Europa on eBay; it could have been sent back to Samsung to have the mic volume sorted, but there again they might have charged me for the repair since I’ve now renewed the contract with 3 and got a new phone (the Acer Liquid E2 is much better than the Samsung). It seems better just to eBay it as being for spares or repair and take whatever someone wants to offer for it. I’m sure a more smartphone savvy person could get it going again.
The other highlight of the day was that when we went into the shop for the usual purpose, my Ryvita storage tin had arrived. No more crumbs on the cupboard floor from half eaten packs of crispbread…
=))
