Sheila's been having a quiet birthday after a great night out last night; our thanks to Stephen and Jayne for inviting us. The Dragon's an odd pub to eat in; some stuff great (like my carrot and cumin soup) and other stuff less so (like virtually raw swede in the veg) and some pleasant enough but not much of it (like the three melon cocktail that was missing one of the melons). Both the beer (Doombar) and the wine (Temperanillo) were excellent.
Nonetheless, it's the company that makes an evening out, not the food, and we had a fantastic time.
Our family visit to the dentist went off no problem, with us taking it in turns to walk the dog whilst the others were in the hot seat. Sal was in one of her daft moods, but enjoyed a good romp, twice, along the towpath.
When we got back, Lloyd very kindly used his angle grinder to trim the end off the Squirrel ash pan so's it will be easier to use with the Tippy ash box; thanks Lloyd, you're a pal!
