This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Dog to dog blog: tiresome Tuesday
Hi guys
Back at the boat today for a routine check up on the AGPs as Mum is having to go to work again. Not a whole huge amount going down, frankly. Grandpa was a bit brutal this morning; he’s making some sort of stew for tonight and did it this morning, don’t know why.
Maybe he’s worried he’ll forget to do it later.

Anyhoo, he had this ginormous piece of beef to cut up, shin seemingly, and proceeded to put the lot in the pan, not a bit of gristle or sinew for yours truly who was sitting looking as pretty and as starving as I could.
All I got were four lousy carrot bits, tops and tails. And I had to go and lie on my bed before I even got those.
Mind you, he made up for it after lunch with a carrot so big I actually had a slight problem with eating it; as I crunched bits off, they rolled all over the place and had to be chased up and down the boat.
This afternoon I didn’t even get to play copse and rompers; Grandpa says I’m getting too confident in that copse for him to control me on his own.
This is just so unfair; what am I supposed to do, ignore the squirrels pulling faces at me from the trees?
Instead we went back to the quarry field I’ve not visited for a while but we didn’t stop very long as it was coming on to rain yet again. I do wish these humans would get a grip of the weather.
Oh, and Grandpa says I have to show you the photo Grandma took of some bird or other just ‘cos it was sitting on top of a bollard right near the Facilities Block. Course we all had to hang about whilst she crept up on it...
Bollards is the word, if you ask me.
Loads of licks but yours humphily
Your friend
Sally
