Painless dentistry

I’m not long back from the dentist; Ian and I visited Barton Marina on the way back to get some meat from The Butcher, The Baker &c and some cheese from the deli. I got Sheila a small quantity of Stinking Bishop, which she regards as a treat, strangely enough.

Ian’s taking me back to the dentist next Wednesday as the tooth is a write off (it was very heavily filled before the latest collapse) and needs crowning.

This morning I needed to buy some more coal, so I’m trying a bag of Briteheat which is a touch cheaper than the Signal. Stephen on Dolce says he’s pleased with it, so I’ll see how it goes and buy a couple more bags at the weekend if it seems OK.

Apart from that, we’re pretty quiet; the days are already that little bit longer which is good as it gives hope of the arrival of spring.

On the other hand, it makes us keen to get boating again…

Sheila is obviously a woman of infinite taste if she has a thing for Stinking Bishop! Does she have a view on Epoisses, the one cheese banned on the Paris Metro? Should be a staple of that Ocado order!

Epoisses is absolutely superb and is a regular on our supermarket van delivery and also during our trips to France. Yum!
