Looking forward to escaping

If you’ve seen her comment (and my reply), you’ll know that Jo has denied ever calling the blog boring, so my apologies to her for that! It’s quite hard to keep up a level of excitement here without getting involved in either potential libel actions or politics/religion/climate change debate whilst we’re lurking in the marina.

If only the rain will stop (where have I heard that before?) we’ll get away in just under four weeks time and I’ll be back to reporting real cruising.

:)

Meantime, it’s been a pretty typical Monday, weather neither good not bad, though quite mild, and loads of routine chores to get through.

One bit of good news; I saw the GP this afternoon and my BP is now sufficiently under control to leave it for a few months, until we get back in the autumn in fact. Two things I’ve learnt:

  1. even an occasional late night dose of aspirin can really mess up the effects of angiotensin II antagonists like Candesartan and
  2. it’s possible to start getting toxic effects from using Deep Heat every night.

The rest of this week is going to be pretty quiet; if this calmer weather continues we must try and get some more walking done. Sally’s giving us a miss tomorrow, so you’ll have to put up with me again, I fear.
