Monday, Monday...

Today’s been quiet, both weatherwise and in terms of our occupations. The morning, indeed, was very pleasant, calm and sunny if rather chilly as we walked down to the village for routine shopping. It clouded over towards lunchtime and our afternoon amble round the marina turned into a brisk walk.

Sheila’s been running the washing machine all day, doing the bulk of the weekly wash. We’ve had to buy yet more kindling and were disappointed to find that the next issue of Canal Boat is not yet in the shops.

Adam announced that it was published in his blog a week ago, so presumably the postal subscribers have had it, but the copies for general sale are nowhere to be seen. We wouldn’t worry so much, but this is the issue that will have the answers to and the winners of the Christmas Quiz in it and we’re keen to see how we did this year.

Meanwhile, I’ve had an email from Waterways World to say that their next issue will be on the stands on Thursday, so it looks as though we’ll be buying the two quite close together again, if not actually on the same day.

Sally’s coming tomorrow as usual; I’ll see if she’s in the mood to blog. Come to think of it, I’m sure that an extra tasty treat will do the trick…
