Stormy Saturday

The bad weather is back with us again and the 3 network isn’t working; the phone claims to be connected, but nothing happens when you try to access the internet. What a good job we keep the T-mobile modem as back up or you wouldn’t be reading this.

It’s been a case of a couple of pretty brisk walks round the marina for exercise; this morning’s was in bright sun and a lot of wind and this afternoon we just aimed to get round before the rain arrived.

On the positive side, we’ve got a tenant for the lodge for the four weeks immediately after the closed period ends, which is very good. It’s another case of someone having work done to their house and needing somewhere to stay whilst it’s going on.

Sheila took a photo of the guys continuing to work on the building site despite the wind; they were laying big sheets of poly over the slope that will be under the boardwalk and covering it with stone:

Not really a job to do in high wind!

Apparently they are still on schedule despite the bad weather; I would guess that when programming building works for the winter you allow plenty of slack for stoppages.

Tomorrow we don’t have any fixed plans, though Elanor and Sally are coming round in the afternoon so we’ll see what Sal makes of the carrot treats...
