This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Getting busier
Another quickie; we’ve got a lot done today. All the tentage has been put up, that’s one small marquee and two gazebos cunningly lashed together in front of the big tent. Banners and bunting have been displayed and some final gardening and planting has been done.
Back on Sanity Again we’ve washed and polished the saloon and dinette floors. Tomorrow’s cleaning will be the shelves and the like, and the bathroom, oh joy.
A preliminary boat shuffle has taken place, so that some boats are now in their final positions. A big shuffle will happen tomorrow, probably in the rain, to move boats in and out of the yard and to do the final sort of those on the Deeps.
Tonight, 25 of us are going to the Boar’s Head for dinner.
Yes, we’ve warned them… Gordon the landlord says he’s taken on extra washing up staff.
