Social sort of day

It's a bit late in the day, and I've yet to have my shower and cook dinner, so just a quick blog.

We've been sorting stuff out today, first off arranging to return the second dog bed that arrived from Pet Planet because they thought the first one had got lost but it hadn't, then settling to proof read Sheila's book.

At half ten, thinking that this was a Boaters Market day, we went across to the Willow Tree to rendezvous with Stephen and Jayne. In fact we had the wrong day, but had a pleasant hour with them anyway.

After lunch, some more proof reading was done, then Heth and Dave from Takey Tezey arrived for a cup of tea. That was another session of nattering, which ended as dusk was falling.

I was just settling down to do this post when a text arrived from Vodafone to say I'd missed a payment. We're swapping bank accounts at the moment, so this is one of the direct debits that hasn't managed to transfer. I went on line and paid the outstanding bill, then tried to set up the direct debit on their website. It let me get through most of the process, then fell over saying "Sorry, this functionality is not available".

I do wish Vodafone would get some decent web authors in; all the time I've been a customer of theirs, I've never known their website to work properly.

Never mind, it's been a really nice day both socially and weatherwise, so I'm not complaining, much.
