Today has been much like yesterday, weatherwise, and very pleasant indeed. Apart from not going into the village to shop, we've spent it in much the same way as well, though we had a longer lie-in this morning, as befits the day of the week.
I finished reading through Sheila's book on my Kindle, doing a mixture of copy editing and proof reading, and we've started going through my suggestions together.
This will take a little while, not because of any big disputes, but because when, say, we agree that a sentence could be better written, it's not always immediately clear what's the best way to recast it. There'll be a bit of a break for a couple of days, probably, as we plan to go into Derby tomorrow and get a bit of retail therapy in.
I got a couple of odd jobs done, too. First off, I took down all the grills under the mushroom ventilators, removed the mosquito net discs for washing and vacuumed out the spiders' webs and such. The vents have been dripping really badly overnight in the frosty weather; it's possible that taking the netting out and improving the air flow a bit will help with this, but we shall see.
The other job was turning out the can cupboard under the gunwale. It's always pretty full, and has been even more so recently, partly because I kept forgetting that we had enough peanut butter and ordering another jar, and partly because there were a couple of two for one deals on things like Branston pickle that I hadn't been able to resist.
As usual, having hauled it all out and then repacked it, it's much tidier and things are once more arranged logically, rather than just wherever they'd fit in.
We've presently sold ten copies of Building Sanity Again in the UK, and three in America, which is gratifying, but I don't think I'm going to have much trouble coping with the impact on my lifestyle of being an internationally renowned author.

An interesting read it was too :)
Don't worry, you'll get there..
There's a bit in yesterday's Grauniad about e-book self publishing. I know you are an Indy bloke so you might find this link of interest [assuming it works!].
