It's been one of those days when we've been so engaged in stuff I've barely time to post. In addition, I've spent a lot of the day on a computer already, so don't feel inclined to do much more now!
First off, I must mention the mallard duck two days ago, that squatted down on the edge of the wharf and laid an egg right in front of Sheila. I know ducks are famously dim, but that is ridiculous. We haven't eaten the egg yet, but we quite fancy boiling it, and chopping it up with some mayo for sandwiches…

Today, I've been helping Peter commission a new iMac in the office, to replace their ageing PC. As always, it all went very well, except that the main office printer is too old to have drivers available for Mac OS X Lion. Peter has seized the excuse to buy a new laser printer/scanner/copier, or MFP as they seem to be called now.
Lots of finishing off work got done on Sanity Again, varnishing and putting a fresh coat of grey Danboline on the engine board framework. We're very nearly ready to go back out; it's a case of putting the fire extinguisher back and that sort of thing. It looks like we'll be doing some more boat shuffling tomorrow.
Sheila is finishing the day revarnishing the cratch wings, which were looking a bit tired with sun damage. Once she's done that, we can start sorting stuff out to be able to go to bed tonight; at the moment, the bedroom is full of engine boards and the stuff that usually sits on top of them.
I'm told by Peter that his order book is pretty well full for the next 15 months, with just one slot available in June; he was keeping that one to build a replacement hire boat for Islay if she didn't sell instead of last year's spec boat, now the new hire boat Tiree. So if you want to buy a Braidbar in the next year, and haven't ordered one yet, there's just that one slot, or the excellent pre-loved boat (and she has been loved), Priscilla.
