We managed to be quite sensible last night, only having a couple of drinks with dinner in the
Boars Head, and a single glass of wine apiece back on
Sanity Again before turning in. We weren't in a mega rush to get going this morning, but at half eight wandered over into the yard to see what was up.
The result was we got a job list of boat shuffling and washing machine testing to keep us busy on this gloriously sunny day. The new washing machine on the ex-
hire boat demonstrator
Islay needed testing, and Sheila still has several washloads to do to catch up, so we were happy to oblige there.
Then the new
hire boat demonstrator,
Tiree, was taken over to a temporary mooring in Victoria Pit. After lunch, we took
Emerald II, the latest boat to be finished, for a test run to High Lane, brought her back and swapped her with
Sanity Again, leaving
Emerald II on the Deeps and bringing
Sanity Again into the yard.
In between all this, we stopped to natter to various folk, including Chris and Les who had brought
Eleventh Heaven across from Victoria Pit and put her where
Tiree had been, and Dave and Kate who moor their Braidbar,
Bosley, at Furness Vale, but who'd popped down with her and moored on the towpath opposite Victoria Pit.
Still with me?
No, I don't blame you, I'm not sure I'm with me myself, and Sheila has given up and gone to get a shower.

No matter, we have a quiet evening in prospect tonight, and a little more boat shuffling to do tomorrow.
