Damply dental day

This spring comes and goes from day to day; after such a warm day yesterday that we didn't need the fire, it's been chill and damp today. The main event was our trip to the dentist this morning; after quite a long time without needing any treatment, we've both got to go back, mainly for little patching jobs, but, as I feared, the tooth I broke the other week is going to have to be crowned.

So we have to be back here on the 15th, which led to some debate about what to do in the meantime. In the end, we've decided to stick around this weekend, as it's a bank holiday, and everyone else will be on the move. Then we'll make a leisurely trip to Fazeley and probably Kingsbury Water Park, returning to the moorings above Bagnall Lock by the 14th.

After that, we'll head for Crick Show at the beginning of June; it's a week later than usual this year, because of the bank holiday moving to become the Jubilee Holiday. Afterwards, it will back to Mercia Marina to rendezvous with my sister, who's visiting from the States.

When she's gone, it will be time to revisit Alrewas for the final phase of the dentistry, sticking my crown on. Gnashers all fixed, we're then going to potter off down the Staffs and Worcs and up the Shroppie; the plan is to spend most of the summer in the North West, renewing our acquaintance with Chester and Manchester.

Dentistry blog well timed - I had to have one removed today (split root). Has to stay as a gap until August.

Looks as though our paths will cross. We set off on the 12th and are due to be in Braunston on the 16th, setting off the next day in the direction of Fazely with a view to heading from there into Birmingham and one of the routes to the Severn. Hope we can meet up. There is plenty of wine on board.

Sorry about the tooth!

Look forward to meeting up, if you haven't drunk all the wine by then…

;)

Cheers
