It's been a month since we returned to Mercia, not counting our brief foray to Alrewas shortly after, so it's not surprising that we were very glad to get away early this morning, despite the rather drizzly weather.
We've come on to Branston, getting here just after ten. We walked through to Morrisons straight away, and indulged ourselves with Cornish pasties for lunch, as well as getting the usual items.
It's been an afternoon for dozing in the cabin, reading the paper and doing puzzles. It got cold enough that I've had to light the fire again, so the boat is now toasty and warm.
The new prop performed very well, though there is still a bit of vibration on the tiller but no prop sing, thank heavens. We'll give it a couple of months to see how it settles down; it may need a bit of tweaking in terms of its position vis-a-vis the stern post, and we can get that done at Braidbar in September if need be.
