Dog to dog blog: marina fun

Hi guys

Guess what, the AGPs (that's Aged GrandParents if you're new to the blog) are back in the marina, and Mum and I went over there today to check them out. They seem pretty fit after a summer's boating– I took them up to the exercise field and worked them up and down, chasing my tyre and stuff. We'd also had a good natter with the folk on the boat next to them too; my ears were much admired as always.

The AGPs coped quite well with the exercise, but things went downhill a bit after that. They decided to go back to the boat the long way round, despite these sinister black clouds lurking about. I did a get a chance to eye up a hunky Rotty going the other way, but no chance to chat him up worse luck.

We'd nearly got back to the road when these HUGE hailstones started falling, mostly down my EARS.

We ended up sheltering under the road bridge with a cheeky looking toy poodle (nearly typed puddle, there, ha, ha). That was OK, but after a while we had some thunder, and of course I had to bark back at that.

So the bridge is a concrete tube and the echo was awful, agony on the old lugs. Humans can be just so badly organised…

In the end it stopped and we walked back to the boat, not collecting my towel from the car, natch. So the humans sit around burbling to themselves and swigging tea and I'm huddled up to the stove trying to dry out.

I've said I need to start coming to the boat regularly again to get the AGPs properly trained up again; hopefully I'll be here every Tuesday from now on, so I'll try and get Grandpa to let me keep you posted as to progress.

I know there's a few of you out there don't enjoy my efforts, but, well, tough – there's a lot more of you really only follow this blog to keep up with me.

That's really not surprising, after all I'm the beautiful one round here!

See?
