We had a really relaxed start this morning, and when we finally ambled out into the light of day, it was to find that the weather had taken a serious turn for the better. Sheila ran another washload, and I caught up with emails and stuff. Just after eleven, the phone rang; it was Ian, our Ocado driver, to say that he was at the gate.
By the time I got up there to let him in, he'd got our crates already stacked on his hand truck, so we were soon unloading bags into the boat. Having let Ian back out, we checked through the delivery, including a dinky little complimentary bottle of rosé, and stowed it away.
That took us nicely up to lunch; after feeding and reading for a bit, we went round to New and Used Boats, where Doug kindly lent us the keys to No More Mondays, a Louis and Joshua with curtains over its portholes. I took a few shots of them and a couple of the way the side hatches had inner glazed doors.
Having taken the keys back, we went on to Midland Chandlers, where we bought some more 4mm brass shackles and a couple of acrylic replacement lenses for ceiling lights. These have been used to make an improved version of Sheila's anti-drip system under two of the mushrooms. They're not quite ready to photograph yet; I'll post some pics as soon as they are.
We've got a quiet evening in prospect; tomorrow, we'll have a session in the Willow Tree with Stephen and Jayne in the morning, and there's the pontoon Hallowe'en party to look forward to in the evening.
