Wet

It was forecast to be wet, and it surely was. It started raining in the night and tipped it down all morning. We'd planned to walk into the village to get bread, but baked some part baked baguettes instead – we'll get some buns tomorrow, probably, as we won't want to make sandwiches on Friday.

This is because we're going off to stay with Graeme, Cathy and the boys this weekend, travelling up there by train and bus, and getting a lift back with Graeme on Sunday.

So we spent the morning lurking and pottering, mostly on the net; Sheila has finally succumbed to the lure of Canal World, mostly because I keep wittering about it I expect.

It had stopped raining at lunchtime, so after we'd eaten we nipped out for a walk round the marina. It's turned cold with it; a sharp wind is blowing.

Tomorrow, we'll get stuff sorted for our weekend away, then walk with the WfH group in the afternoon. I've been persuaded to leave the laptop behind, so after tomorrow's there won't be any blog posts until Monday; this is a blog about living on a boat, anyway, so there won't be anything to report.
