We've been having a quiet celebration of Sheila's natal day here – I'm not allowed to say which one this is, but Paul McCartney wrote a song about it…

As may be imagined, we had a lazy start, followed by a walk to the village to buy vitamins from the pharmacy (actually, just Vit D, at an excellent price of 99p for 60 tabs of 1000IU, cheaper than Simply Supplements can do it and you don't get bombarded with catalogues forever after). We also posted a repeat prescription request for me, and bought a loaf of bread from the Co-op.
I'm not sure how we cope with the frenetic pace of our lives, to be honest.

After lunch, we took a walk round the marina in bright sun but still a chilly wind. Sheila was able to play with her new toy, a Panasonic Lumix camera (the SZ1 in fetching blue). Her old one is very old and slow, and she hopes a) that this one will be easier to keep to hand when boating and b) it will take fast enough to catch some of those elusive shots. Early results look promising.
Since then we've been taking it quietly on the boat. We had thought of walking to the Nadee restaurant tonight, but in view of the weather, Sheila's expressed a preference for a curry on the boat, so I'm doing her one of her favourites, a Thai Green Prawn.
Tomorrow, Sally sitting, so I may get her to do the blog. In the meantime, those of you into such things shouldn't miss out on the stirring accounts of the build up to Henry Beanz Holidaze over on Indigo Dreaming…
