It must be Friday

Well, yesterday was Thursday, and I was a bit stuck for a title today…

/wahaha

The weather has indeed changed, but not so far for the better. It's a shade warmer, but the freezing rain makes it a good deal less pleasant to be out in. I guess we should be grateful for small mercies as the rain stopped just long enough to get the Ocado delivery in.

The thing we should be really grateful for was that Lloyd managed to get our wood baulks cut up into useable blocks, so we've got a nice supply of wood for the fire for quite a while.

Apart from that, we've been lurking indoors finding stuff to do, broken only by a trip to the Willow Tree for lunch, as we'll be eating party food tonight; well any excuse for a meal at the Willow Tree. It's not fancy stuff, just very well done, so Sheila's baked spud with tuna and sweetcorn was bursting with filling, and my quiche was nicely warm and very tasty.

This afternoon's main job has been printing off the calendars we set up the other day. The supply of 120 gram paper just lasted out, as did the fairly new colour ink cartridge; I swear they don't fill them as full as they used to, wretches that they are.

Never mind, party tonight and a lie in tomorrow, it's not all bad.

/bye

Envy will get you nowhere…

In the event it was a very good party, a right load of laughs in fact.

I think of my present situation as just recompense for a working life dedicated to helping others, as opposed to making loads of filthy lucre.

Have a good Christmas
