Unsettled

It's been one of those days when it's hard to settle to anything; the weather is well in tune with that. It's going to be stormy for the rest of the week, looks like, so we'll just have to get used to the boat rocking about a bit in the breeze.

Last night's roast beef was highly successful; as well as having it for dinner, we also succumbed to the temptation to have a sandwich each as a last thing snack. The meat was still warm and juicy with it, quite scrummy altogether.

This morning, I checked up on a small weep that had shown up briefly on the study bedroom radiator. I found it when cleaning under the desk yesterday, but couldn't trace the source. First thing, there were a couple of drips again, which had emerged from the blanking plug at the top of the rad. Presumably, it's only happening when the rad is stone cold, so I waited until it had cooled down this afternoon and then nipped up the plug. We'll see what happens tomorrow morning.

Our Ocado delivery turned up in good time, so we're well stocked up again. The one thing Ocado doesn't do well is multi-seeded loaf; they can supply the Warburton's one, but it does tend to get a bit reshaped en route, and anyway, I prefer the Co-op version.

It gave us an excuse for a brisk walk into the village just before lunch; the exercise was an excuse to buy some hot cross buns they had on special offer.

Sheila's been running washloads today, getting back into her routine.

Tomorrow, Sally's here for her regular day with us; apparently she was still very tired this morning after yesterday's dashing about. As Elanor was getting ready to go to work, Sal walked through into the back bedroom where her daytime accommodation is and sniffed hopefully at her bed...
