This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Quiet Saturday
A quickie today as we’re due out to go to a lodge warming party at Chestnut in a bit. We’ve had a pretty lazy day, just doing the routine jobs this morning after a latish start; a bit later I tried getting through to the 3 customer services, but they were too busy on a Saturday morning to hang on for even at their expense.
I’ll try again mid-morning Monday, I think; I want to cancel the MiFi contract now that we’ve got the tethering system working on the new smart phone.
After lunch Elanor came round to deliver the post and have a chat. We took a walk round the marina then helped her tweak her CV for a job she’s applying for.
She’s gone off now to get on with her Saturday stuff like visiting the library.
After visiting Chestnut we’re going to look in on a pontoon Hallowe’en do before retreating to the boat for the evening; the wind’s getting pretty gusty out there.
