Relaxing on Sunday

It’s one of those days when it’s really hard to know what to write about. We’ve been asked to contribute a quiz to the December edition of the marina newsletter, so spent a bit of time this morning putting one together. We used some existing questions from the quizzes we’ve previously used to torment Braidbar Owners, and invented some new ones with a Christmassy flavour.

Sheila’s currently working on a mega project to accumulate basic info (postcode, phone number, web address) for all the attractions for which we’ve got leaflets to put in the lodge. There are a remarkable number of places to go and things to see within an hour’s drive of here, so it’s taking quite a while. She’s finding it very handy to have the iPad alongside the MacBook, using the former for web look ups and assembling the spreadsheet on the latter.

We had a walk round the marina just before lunch and called in at the office to confirm details for a further letting for the week over Christmas. It’s another case of helping to provide accommodation for someone whilst the builders are in their house, in this case because of a fire, sadly.

After lunch and a bit of post prandial kip for me (Sheila was slogging on with her internet researches) we took ourselves out again for a second walk in rapidly cooling temperatures.

And that’s been about it. Once the newsletter has been out for a while, I might put the quiz up on here too, if the editor will agree…

Of course I agree! So grateful that, amongst all the other things you both do, you put together such a great quiz in such a short time!! Jo

Well, thank you kindly, ma'am. We enjoy doing that stuff and, as you see, weren't exactly working flat out today!

That reminds me, must send you the answers...

All the best
