Life gets exciting on a Monday:

The two big dramas of today occurred and will occur at opposite ends. This morning, I stayed in my pyjamas until after breakfast when Sheila cut my hair and trimmed my beard. This is a cunning plan a) because it saves money, b) it means Sheila can’t complain about the result and c) as we change the bed and our night attire on a Monday, the bits of hair stuck to my pyjama top end up being washed off straight away.

Cunning, huh?

/hmm

Apart from that, we’ve had another very pleasant day, though the sky clouded over as it went on and the temperature fell remorselessly. We’ve still had a couple of walks round the marina, though, and have observed progress on the building site with great interest. The footprint for the building is now clear of topsoil and is being covered in a “stone mat”. Piling operations are due to start tomorrow and will continue for a couple of weeks. There are 120 10 metre piles to be driven, so we’ll have to put up with a bit more noise for a while.

It’s getting to the point where I should take some more photos, I guess.

Tonight we’re joining Stephen and Jayne at The Dragon for the first Christmas meal of the season; we’re really looking forward to it.

Tomorrow, we’re celebrating Sheila’s birthday with a family trip to the dentist. Bit odd I know, but then we are…

It means I probably won’t get a blog post done as we’ll be latish back and not in a mood to be creative. On Wednesday, I think we’ll go for a pump out, so it’s all go this week.

Just in case you don't post tomorrow, We will wish Shelia Many Happy Returns of the day today. We happened to be at Mercia for a visit to the Chandlers on Friday only to find them closed for their stock take! We were amazed at the amount of work already started. Good job it's winter because imagine all that dust in the summer. Looking forward to seeing your photos as work progresses.

Oops Sorry Sheila. Spelt your name wrong although how I managed that I do not know. Ian's sisters name is Sheila so there should be no excuse!

Thank you for your kind comment. I'll forgive the spelling mistake, I'm used to it!
