Dog to dog blog: canine care service

Hi guys

Tuesday again, on the boat again; must say I’m a very dutiful and caring hound to keep looking after the AGPs like this. They’ve been pretty good today, though had to be reminded several times about my second walk.

Grandpa in particular tends to doze off after lunch if not kept alert to my needs. As a result of skilfull nagging management, I’ve had a decent charge about and tyre chase in field three, which is in an interesting condition, full of ruts filled with water, just great for splashing through.

The marina has decided to take part in the Yellow Dog scheme; it’s a way of showing which dogs need “more space” by giving them something yellow to wear. Mind you, it’s by no means foolproof; there are a few dogs around here that need about a football pitch apiece but don’t wear anything at all.

And the less said about some people the better; I realise that the AGPs have to live here…

/wahaha

Must say, I shall be glad to get some more rest for the rest of this week; last Saturday, Mum decided the car needed a long run so took me to Inglemells beach by Skegness. I got a load of charging about there; the only other dog around was a very timid yellow lab that ran off as soon as I showed any interest. Wasn’t very impressed with my first sight of the sea though – compared to a river, canal or pond it’s very badly behaved, sneaking up on you when you’re not looking and wetting you unexpectedly.

Also, when we got home, Mum made me go through a ritual called “washing the salt off” which was not at all pleasant.

Never mind, spring is coming with lighter nights and more chance for mischief adventures.

Hang cool, guys

Loads of licks

Yo Sally

I see that the AGP's are thinking of moving their boat in February so I'd better get on with making you some special low fat treats (how to have fun with a carrot!) and send them on to the marina. Do your AGPs get post there?

I have to check because it would be awful if some sneaky postman's dog stole them!

p.s. Ty and Ollie say they don't mind sharing because they're on full calorie treats - they're both losing weight, which is not fair because they're not 1% as active as you are :-)

Hi SMS (=Step Mummy Sue)

Don't think they are planning to move til early March, but of course, boaters, how can you tell what they're planning?

You can't send them stuff to the marina (yet) but Grandpa says if you get in touch via the email link in the right hand col, you can get his land address that way.
