Dog to dog blog: I may need some new humans

Hi guys

What a weird week! The humans are falling apart all around me…

:(

First off, Mum took to her bed on Friday evening and spent most of the next four days there, only getting up occasionally to take me out and feed me. She didn’t seem to want to eat too much herself.

We did get to the marina on Sunday, but not to visit the boat, just to run in the field with Grandpa, boo sucks. The boat was full of people who might have give me treats too, not a good state of affairs.

Mum finally got going again on Wednesday and I had another visit to see the AGPs. That was OK and I’ve put in a special visit today whilst Mum actually went to work. I don’t much like her going to work but apparently she has to do it so as to have enough dosh to buy me grub.

Had the usual amble round the marina in the morning, but then Grandpa went off somewhere, suddenly reappeared muttering “I knew I should have taken my socket set in the first place” and vanished again. He said that there was a hurricane that needed fixing on another boat, but there’s been hardly any wind today at all, so I have no idea what he’s on about.

Anyhoo, he then comes back complaining of pain in his side from lugging the “socket set” around. As a result, Granny was in charge of my lead on the walk to the field for tyre exercise. This is not so good as she is like Mum and seems to take pleasure in making me walk to heel, not bark at rude dogs and generally have no fun at all.

I did get some charging about in the field, but wasn’t entirely in the mood for it 'cos of worrying about the humans.

Does anyone know, can I get a new set of AGPs if these ones split? I know that step mummy Sue is no go as she’s really only interested in proper greyhounds and anyway, I wouldn’t want to leave my Mum for anyone, it’s mainly the oldies who seem to be falling to bits.

I’m promised a regular visit here next Tuesday, so lets hope things are back to normal by then.

Loads of licks

I'll always be your step-mummy (temporary) when you really need one Sally :-)

Maybe the AGPs are like squirrels - they'll get more lively as Spring arrives and you'll get to chase them around again.
