Staying dry and warm but not much exercise

It’s all true, you know, what Sally wrote yesterday; after Stephen and Jayne brought the bottle of wine round, I felt much better. It just shows the power of an act of kindness and generosity.  Mind you, having Sheila rub Deep Heat into my back last thing at night has made a big difference too…

:))

Today’s been a lot better socially than meteorologically. The wind has gone round into the east and it’s been raining a sleety rain on and off all day. But the team lunch in the Willow Tree with Stephen and Jayne was excellent, an hour spent catching up on the goss, and we have tonight’s quiz to look forward to.

Tomorrow, we plan to head into Derby for routine stuff; my new specs were supposed to be ready by last Sunday, but I’ve not had the promised text from Boots to confirm, so we shall go in there and enquire after them.

Friday will see an Ocado delivery (probably in the rain) and suddenly it will be the weekend again. It does look as if Sunday will be a half decent day; now that my back is on the mend, it’ll be good to get some walking in.
