This blog is about life on board our narrowboat Sanity Again, cruising the inland waterways of the UK (mainly in the spring, summer and autumn) and living in a marina in the winter. It's the way I choose to write it; if you don't like it, there are many other boating blogs.

Ambling through Thursday
Today’s been a really quiet day; we didn’t need to go to the village and have settled for a couple of walks round the marina. We did treat ourselves to breakfast in the Willow Tree this morning; not sure just why although it was a bit draughty and drizzly out so felt like the weather to justify a sausage and bacon cob.
I’ve been pottering about on the net quite a lot; I can’t make up my mind about migrating the Braidbar Owners’ Group from Yahoo to a private forum. There are plenty of free forum software packages out there, but none that I’ve found so far will do everything that Yahoo is supposed to do (and even does some of the time).
As well as the basic discussion group stuff, we want to be able to share photos and PDF files of things like the Pub Guide. To get all that integrated into one package would mean buying something like the IP Board software and doing a certain amount of serious software work.
Oh well, I’ll just have to go on researching and pondering for a bit, I guess.
Tomorrow, we’ll make an expedition to Betty’s Farm for meat for the next week. Jayne from Dolce mentioned today that more dirty weather is expected in March, but I’m not sure where she got that from, didn’t ask. The Met Office 28 day forecast doesn’t seem too bad, just the usual sort of stuff you’d expect at the end of February and through March.

You don't think Jayne was relying on what happened last year when you made advance predictions of your cruising activities? I'm sure the same will not happen again, but I am keeping my snow boots ready for March!
Happy cruising.
