We had a good laugh with them and carried on to Keepers, where we met Graham and Carolann working Autumn Years up. So we stopped on the moorings above the lock and had a coffee and catch up with them. It must be this time last year since we've seen them, since when they've been to New Zealand, so there was a lot to talk about.
We finally tore ourselves away and found that we were now part of a convoy working down the next few locks. It rained on and off as this was going on, so we were glad to find a mooring before the road bridge above Bagnall Lock.
I've been into the village since to get some bread and other perishables, but otherwise we've sat tight. It looks like it's going to be a full waterproofs day tomorrow; we'll decide as we go whether to stop at Branston or go on to Mercia.

Good to see you again! See you back at base camp ..... Jo
"good waterproofs day" means you should stay put!!
Ah, but you see putting the waterproofs on meant that it didn't rain and we got back to the marina safe and sound.
If we'd left it until today, we'd have got soaked!
Cheers
Bruce
