On the way we were accosted a few times by folk who knew us from the internet; Midnight Rider and Tillergirl from Canal World, the folk off Ionian and a nice lady from Rooster's Rest.
I managed both the turn into the marina and that onto the pontoon without disgrace, despite the gusty and freshening wind. The walls have started to rise on the Boardwalk development and no doubt there will be a lot of goss to share when we catch up with Lloyd and Helen.
My eye appointments have just arrived. I've got a visual fields session next Thursday and a follow up appointment with the consultant the Wednesday after. That means that, if he sticks to his plan, my first op will be in the week following. It's a relief to have some idea of the timetable and the end of the present medication regime.

A quick 'flash-back' to one of your previous posts regarding Poynton stalls in Derby Market Hall. My mum has asked one of the Poynton family that still own the company about their history. It appears that they were established in 1840 at a shop in Monk Street and moved to the Market Hall when it opened in 1866 where they currently operate from six stalls. I guess they'll be around for a bit longer then?
