Easy day today

...but tomorrow will be harder. Our main priority today was getting a pump out as the warning triangle was flashing on the gauge. We therefore postponed our start until half eight and were at Heritage a bit before nine.

The pump out deck fitting was on the outside, but this didn't faze Monty, who happily balanced on the gunwale whilst doing the job. Some yards make you wind and then wind again in these circs, but Heritage always try to be helpful.

We were all done in half an hour and soon merrily chugging on our way to and through Congleton. It was fairly slow going, what with the shallow inverts of the many bridgeholes and the quantity of traffic coming the other way, usually appearing just on the other side of said bridgeholes...

It was about half eleven when we got to Buglawton; we've tied on the towpath just beyond the offside water point at Bridge 68. I nipped off down the road to the Co-op for a loaf of bread, some tomatoes and a couple of Ginsters pasties to eat tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we do the long day from here up Bosley and on to Lyme Green. We'll be lunching en route, I reckon. Tonight, home made meat loaf for dinner.

Does this mean that we'll go up Bos like a Bat out of Hell?

;)

Dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow and a bit of cruising might be a bit ambitious and you might not achieve everything, still - Two out of three ain't bad !!!
