We've left the marina this morning – a total of 20 minutes movement saw us tie on the towpath by Sally's copse. Elanor and the hound are joining us this evening, then we'll make an early start for our cruise to Lord Vernon's Wharf at Higher Poynton.
With Elanor's help, we should do it in seven or eight days. She will then take the train back to Willington to pick up her car and come and collect Sal.
We should be out for a total of four weeks – we'll come back in more leisurely fashion. I aim to blog everyday while we're out...
