Family Sunday

Elanor and Sally turned up not long after yesterday's blog post had gone up, and we had a great evening together. Sheila and Elanor took Sally to the field to get some exercise whilst I cooked my variant (or one of my variants) on goulash.

After we'd scoffed that, we settled down with a bottle of Malbec for a family goss. The Malbec ran out after a bit, but fortunately other wines were available…

It was a very late start this morning, as Sally didn't want to get off our bed.

We did get going in the end, and gave Sal another run once the fog had burnt off. We'd not have been able to keep track of her favourite throwing toy, a small tyre, before then. She has an engaging habit of chasing it enthusiastically, but dropping it after a bit, usually in long grass some distance away.

They went off just before lunch, and we've had a quiet afternoon since. I brought the Braidbar Owners' Pub Guide up to date, and a fair amount of newspaper reading has taken place.

Tomorrow, we'll take the boat over to the service wharf; we need diesel, a pump out and a cylinder of gas.
